                Benefits of Cinnamon & Honey


Allah declares honey to have a cure for mankind [an-Nahl: 69]. Practitioners prescribe honey to be administered with cinnamon powder for many ailments.

Heart Disease: Eat a sandwich with honey and a sprinkling of cinnamon powder for breakfast. It reduces cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attacks.

Arthritis: Take a daily cup of hot water morning and evening, with two tablespoons of honey and one small level teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Treatment at Copenhagen University resulted in patients who could not walk due to arthritic pain now able to move without pain.

Cholesterol: Two tablespoons of honey and 3 teaspoons of cinnamon powder mixed in half-a-litre of tea water reduces cholesterol levels by 10% in two hours.

Colds: A tablespoon honey with a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon taken daily for three days will cure coughs and colds and clear sinuses.

Upset Stomach & Gas: Honey taken with cinnamon relieves stomach ache, ulcers and gas.

Immune System: Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacterial and viral attacks.

Indigestion: Sprinkle cinnamon powder on two tablespoons of honey and have before meals. Assists with acid and indigestion.

Sore Throat: A tablespoon of honey taken every three hours relieves sore throat.

Pimples: Mix three tablespoons of honey and one of cinnamon powder into a paste. Apply to the pimples before sleeping. Wash with warm water upon awakening. Two weeks’ treatment removes pimples from the root.

Skin Infections: Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts can be used for eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infection.

Weight Loss: Honey and cinnamon powder boiled in a cup of water prevents fat accumulation when consumed regularly. Have daily in the morning on an empty stomach and again before sleeping.

Fatigue:  Senior citizens who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts are more alert and agile.
