grandpass 4 410px 11-08-13Accusations are levelled that the thugs who attacked the Muslim mosque in Molawatte last night has been given police protection.
The suspicions have raised as there had been a tensed situation in the area since yesterday morning, the police has not made any intervention.
No suspect has been arrested yet of a crime committed in front of the police and as usual the case has been sent to Colombo crime division.
MP Mangala Samaraweera says that thus this could be a deliberate attack made to create a conflict between Sinhala and Muslim people.
The behaviour of the police has provide fuel to this suspicion and the picture below shows of a group suspected to have been involved in the attack staying under police protection.
